2020年馬口鐵需求和價格受疫情影響波動比較大，從年初的一路低迷到下半年一路走高，有受國內外需求的影響，更大的原因還是受原料成本波動的影響。從企業2020年運營情況看，2020年整體銷售量同比增加10%左右，下半年鋼鐵價格持續拉漲和鋼廠結算偏高，全年利潤同比基本持平。

對于2021年國內馬口鐵市場展望，于總表示，馬口鐵價格或將呈現震蕩上行態勢，但空間有限。一方面由于受全球通脹的影響，加之原料成本有一定支撐，短時間內價格下行的概率很??；另一方面，下游包裝領域客戶需求并未有明顯增加，下游客戶接受程度或對價格提漲有一定抑制作用。對企業來說，2021年整體銷量增長會很困難，一方面馬口鐵價格一路走高使企業對資金需求加大，企業可能會面臨資金周轉困難的問題，另一方面由于疫情控制的未知，國內外客戶的需求也有很大的不確定性。對于貿易商而言，面臨的挑戰也會越來越嚴峻。
